Santos and Brazil wonderkid Neymar has said that he will move away from his hometown clubs Santos to a high profile European club when he feels that the time is right. The Express believes that the 21 year old striker could attract attention from the best clubs in the world including European champions Chelsea.

The Blues have lacked an efficient striker in front of goal since the departure of their talisman striker Didier Drogba with 50 million pound signing Fernando Torres failing to reach expectations at Stamford Bridge. Neymar has already proven himself worthy of a move to the best clubs in the world with his impressive showing for both club and country. Largely touted as the next big thing in South America after Barcelona ace Lionel Messi, Neymar has already made big strides in his short career so far.

Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich has long been on the case to sign Neymar for a couple of seasons now and is willing to splash the cash one more time this summer to lure the South American.

While Neymar without doubt has the talent and the ingredients required to do well for Chelsea it remains to be seen if he fancies the destination. A host of top clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid and English champions Manchester City are after the prodigal talent and the Blues will need to offer something substantial to beat these big name clubs to Neymar.

Moreover, the managerial merry-go-round at Chelsea over the last few seasons could well demotivate young players to join the London club which means the Abramovich will need do to much more than just splash the cash to secure anymore young talent. Chelsea have had a forgettable campaign this season as they were knocked out of the group stages of the Champions League while also falling away in the Premier League title race that is headed by runaway leaders Manchester United.

Besides, Neymar himself hasn’t set a timeline for a move away from Santos which makes the move largely speculative at the moment.
